What are the minimum requirements to use TalkAndWrite? FAQs
The minimum requirements are:
- Skype 1,5 or higher version installed
- Windows 2000
- 400MHz 128 MB RAM processor
- 10 MB free on hard disk
- Internet connection minimum 33,6 KBps
Does TalkAndWrite work in any operational system? FAQs
No. The current version works on Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista.
Do my partners have to have TalkAndWrite installed in theirs computers? FAQs
Yes. An installed version of TalkAndWrite is needed to join a meeting.
Is an installed Skype necessary to run TalkAndWrite? FAQs
Yes, Skype must be installed in your computer so that you can use TalkAndWrite for online meetings.
Can I use TalkAndWrite with a dial-up connection? FAQs
Yes, but the voice transmission will be impaired. Nevertheless, the Skype Text Chat option assures a good interaction between partners at the same time they write/draw.
Installation
How to install TalkAndWrite? FAQs
1 - Click in the Skype menu on "Tools", select "Do More", choose "Get Extras". In "Featured", click on "Next" to find TalkAndWrite. Finally, click on "Open" when you find it. The download will start.
2 - After the download is completed, read the License Agreement and click on "I agree and accept the terms of publisher's End User License Agreement" and click "OK".
3 - Select a friend of your contact list to send an invitation to start the meeting. Click on "Continue".
Your friend will receive the invitation to start a meeting using TalkAndWrite. It will start after he accepts. (If he does not have TalkAndWrite installed, the download will start to him after he accepts, and the meeting will start after it is finished).
4 - After that, TalkAndWrite will open. To finally complete the installation you and your friends must allow TalkAndWrite to use Skype. Therefore, go into Skype click on "New Event" and click again on "TalkAndWrite.exe". To allow TalkAndWrite to use Skype, click on "Allow this program to use Skype", and "OK".

How to uninstall a Skype's Extra? FAQs
To uninstall a Skype Extra, go to Skype Menu “Tools”, click on “Do More”, “Organize my Extras”. Select the Extra “Menu” and choose uninstall.
I have installed TalkAndWrite, but it is not working. What happened? FAQs
There are two common scenarios:
- You can work with TalkAndWrite offline, but you can not connect to somebody. In this case, please make sure that you have authorized TalkAndWrite to use Skype. Go to Skype menu “Tools”, choose “Options”, “Advanced”, and on the bottom of the window, select “Manage other program’s access to Skype”. Select TalkAndWrite and click on “Change”. Select the option “Allow this program to use Skype” and “OK”.
- You have started the installation, but you don’t see TalkAndWrite software anywhere after that. Please assure that you invited someone who accepted your request. The installation is only completed when you establish for the first time an interaction with a friend. If you don’t have someone to invite, contact us via Skype and if we are online we can start a meeting with you.
Why do I have to install the TalkAndWrite printer? FAQs
The TalkAndWrite Printer is used to convert your existing files into a TalkAndWrite format (.taw). Once installed (it takes 3 to 5 minutes), you will be able to open any printable document, like .doc, .xls, .pdf, images and .ppt. When you open a document for the first time, a pop-up window will ask to install the printer.
I can not install the TalkAndWrite Printer. Why? FAQs
To install the TalkAndWrite Printer, you need administrator privileges. If you have not loged in as administrator, please contact your administrator to make the installation.

I can not start the meeting. Why?FAQs
Check if you and your partners are online and if Skype is working.
Please make sure that all of you have authorized TalkAndWrite to use Skype (Therefore, go to Skype menu “Tools”, choose “Options”, “Advanced”, and on the bottom of the window, select the option “Manage other program’s access to Skype”. Select TalkAndWrite and click on “Change”. Select the option “Allow this program to use Skype” and “OK”.)
I have initialized the connection, but my partner did not get the request authorization. What to do? FAQs
The request was lost. Check if your partners have TalkAndWrite opened and if they are appearing as “Online” in Skype. To test and confirm a working connection, send chat messages to your partners, and call them. Try to invite them again using TalkAndWrite.
The document I want to work with is too large. Is there any option other then automatically page by page transfer? FAQs
Yes, if you got a large file, instead using page by page transfer, you could open the document to be worked on and save it as a background (Menu “File”, select “Save Background”). Send it to your friends by e-mail or through Skype. When they open it, they will have a precise copy of your background. Once they all have the same background opened and are online, you can invite them to start the meeting.
I’m not able to open a doc, pdf, xls, etc type documents. FAQs
First of all, try to open the document using the original program. For example, if it is a .doc file, open Microsoft Word, and print it using the TalkAndWrite printer. If it is still not working, reinstall TalkAndWrite (As it could be that TalkAndWrite’s virtual printer has been removed accidentally). Reinstall the program using the new version on www.talkandwrite.com/english/download.php.
During the meeting the synchronization screen shows up. What is happening? FAQs
This is OK. A synchronization is automatically performed by the program when there is a loss of data during the transmission.
The synchronization has stopped. What should I do? FAQs
Disconnect and then reconnect with your partners. The synchronization will go on from where it has stopped.
Hint: While synchronizing, try to use minimal audio and video transmission (click on the “Hold voice connection button”) to enable optimal data transmission.
Is the shared information safe? FAQs
Shared information between users are cryptographically protected.

How many attendees can be in a meeting? FAQs

Do I need a MousePen to use the program? FAQs
It is not necessary, however with a MousePen you will be able to handwrite easily as you were writing on a sheet of paper.
